In 1965, the world was introduced to Max’s Kansas City, a social club and melting pot for the creative world’s most talented and revolutionary personalities. Considered the birthplace of punk, the space was also where some of rock’s most raw and iconic moments took place. The 45th anniversary of Max’s opening also marks the re-emergence of The Max’s Kansas City Company-signaling the rebirth of this iconic brand. The Company picks up where the original venue left off, serving as the voice of authority on avant-culture and creating experiences that foster an exclusive atmosphere of downtown chic and creativity.
I’ll be sharing exclusive peeks inside my sketchbook on Max’s site. There are a bunch more on Max’s site, of artist and pinup muse Katelan Foisy, who shared an absinthe with me in my studio yesterday
