Tomorrow night, I’m leaving Sao Paulo for New York’s illustration salt mines. But what a fabulous half-week its been. I’ve toured hip design stores and seen my work bling out iphones and lectured at the oldest university in Brazil. Met so many amazing new friends- including artist Catarina Gushiken, whose hyper-detailed work and entrepreneurialism make her feel a bit like my Sao Paulo soul sister. I also got to show my work with New York expat Dan Goldman in Brazil’s first exhibit of Digital Art
Thank you so much to the rockstars at Elo 3 for treating me like way more than the guttersnipe I am, to 3M for sponsoring the exhibition at MacKenzie and to Zupi Magazine for being my biggest Brazilian advocates.
