Drawing @ The Ace

On Saturday night, Dances of Vice threw The Powerhouse Stomp, a party paying homage to the cartoons of the 1930’s and 40’s.

Vintage styled dames and dandies crowded into Liberty Hall at the Ace Hotel (one my favorite haunts in New York).

I spent the night creating a massive drawing while the Brian Carpenter Orchestra played cartoon music and girls competed to be Betty Boop.

Drawing live is one of my favorite things in the world

Huge thanks to Shien Lee for having me, and to Melissa, Foley and the rest of the Dr. Sketchy’s crew for figuring how to jerry-rig this drawing set up.
