Tomorrow night, I’m leaving Sao Paulo for New York’s illustration salt mines. But what a fabulous half-week its been. I’ve toured hip design stores and seen my work bling out iphones and lectured at the oldest university in Brazil. Met so many amazing new friends- including artist Catarina Gushiken, whose hyper-detailed work and entrepreneurialism make her feel a bit like my Sao Paulo soul sister. I also got to show my work with New York expat Dan Goldman in Brazil’s first exhibit of Digital Art

Thank you so much to the rockstars at Elo 3 for treating me like way more than the guttersnipe I am, to 3M for sponsoring the exhibition at MacKenzie and to Zupi Magazine for being my biggest Brazilian advocates.

I wanted to issue  a hearty hell-yeah for the repeal of Proposition 8!  Here’s a piece I did for the Manifest Equality show in Hollywood, which helped raise money towards Prop 8′s repeal.

My collaboration with photographer Najva Sol, “Impossible Couture” (recently written up by Vice’s Creators Project!) is jumping off the screen and onto the gallery wall.  You can buy original prints of our altered photographs at SF gallery Femina Potens, as part of their “Queer Couture” show.

Glass water bottles I designed for The Box. During my several year collaberation with the supper club, I developed my own Box iconography, making pigs the symbol of the Box’s customers, who worship at the alter of their godlike performers

Girl Comics #3 is finally out!  In this issue, I got to collaberate with Annie Nocenti and Star. St. Germain on a 6-page Typhoid Mary story.  It was a total honor to have been chosen by Annie to render her creation.  I also adore Star’s wildly expressive lettering- it really makes the story.
